Major difference
Laritor gives you dedicated Laravel investigations through a Composer client. You do not need to assemble OpenTelemetry instrumentation or operate a monitoring backend to understand your application’s recorded activity.
Laritor’s application client does not require a monitoring extension or Collector. SigNoz’s automatic PHP route uses the OpenTelemetry extension, SDK packages, framework instrumentation, and export configuration.
Queue wait, schedules, backend sessions, Pennant, and custom business events have dedicated Laritor resources. SigNoz’s general trace, log, and metric workflow requires shaping broader telemetry around those Laravel questions.
Laritor manages monitoring storage, retention, and capacity. Self-hosted SigNoz puts its services and ClickHouse storage under your team’s care; SigNoz Cloud also manages its backend, but retains the OpenTelemetry setup.
Why choose Laritor over SigNoz?
Track exceptions and investigate the slow or failing work around them. Follow requests, queues, queries, API calls, user sessions, and feature flags through Laravel views your team can use every day.
20M billable events, unlimited apps and users, and 30-day retention. Choose exceptions, detected issues, or all activity without a separate error or log quota.
SigNoz Cloud starts at $49/month, including $49 of usage across traces, logs, and metrics. Laritor starts at $20/month for 20M related billable events and 30-day history. Both include unlimited paid team access. Your record size, retained signals, and required history determine the total; self-hosted SigNoz has a separate infrastructure and operating cost.
Cost calculator
Use one shared workload. Laritor bills recorded events. SigNoz Cloud bills ingested span/log bytes and metric samples separately. This estimates Cloud span/log usage with its $49 monthly minimum, which already includes $49 of usage.
20,000,000 billable events
20 GB estimated ingestion
This estimates span/log ingestion only. Additional metric samples draw from the same $49 allowance and can raise the complete bill. No per-user or per-host fee is added.
Monthly USD before tax. Current SigNoz Cloud minimum and retention rates checked October 10, 2026. The estimate is the greater of $49 and span/log GB × the selected rate; it does not add $49 on top of usage. GB uses 1,000,000,000 bytes. The record size is an editable assumption, and each vendor can collect different records. Metrics, Collector operating costs, network charges, self-hosted infrastructure, trials, discounts, and Enterprise terms are excluded. Above 100,000 GB, the reviewed public calculator’s range, confirm SigNoz volume pricing; this is an estimate boundary, not an ingestion limit. Laritor includes 20M events for $20 plus $0.20 per started 100K; strictly above $500 it shows “Ask for a quote.” Exactly $500 stays numeric. Measure your actual retained telemetry before comparing total costs.

Laritor suits teams that want Laravel exception tracking, issue detection, and performance monitoring in ready-made application views. It includes recording presets, backend sessions, Pennant insights, payload/output investigations, 85+ dashboard widgets, and scheduled performance PDFs. SigNoz is worth considering for multi-language distributed services, OpenTelemetry pipelines, Kubernetes, broad log/metric exploration, or self-hosting.
Yes. SigNoz documents PHP auto-instrumentation with the OpenTelemetry PHP extension, SDK/exporter, and open-telemetry/opentelemetry-auto-laravel Composer package. Laravel native here means primarily designed for Laravel. Laritor has that primary focus; SigNoz is a multi-language OpenTelemetry observability platform. Direct export to SigNoz Cloud is supported; a separate Collector is useful for processing, privacy, and tail sampling.
Laritor uses its Composer client, ingestion configuration, and sync command. SigNoz’s documented automatic PHP setup also installs and loads the OpenTelemetry extension, then adds framework and library instrumentation packages. That can require changes to your PHP image or runtime. Manually instrumented OpenTelemetry code is a different setup; neither platform requires you to self-host a monitoring backend when you choose its hosted service.
Yes. SigNoz groups recorded exception span events by service, type, and message, and links occurrences to their request traces and correlated logs. Its guide notes that stack traces are optional in OpenTelemetry and appear only when recorded. Log-only exceptions do not populate its current Exceptions view. Laritor captures configured Laravel exception details and related execution events in dedicated exception investigations.
Yes, with different setup. Laritor offers exceptions-only, issues-only, and full observability presets for Laravel executions. SigNoz documents Collector tail-sampling policies that keep complete error or slow traces. Tail sampling buffers traces and needs trace-ID-aware routing when multiple Collectors are used. Collection filters affect the traffic represented in either tool’s retained data and metrics.
Yes. The reviewed OpenTelemetry Laravel source includes queue operations, worker handling, and Artisan command hooks. Library coverage and context propagation depend on configuration and package version. Laritor adds dedicated queue wait-time, throughput, job payload, and command-output investigations. A dedicated automatic Laravel schedule resource is not listed for SigNoz.
One retained execution count and an average event/record count drive both estimates. Laritor prices related billable events, including 2 KB increments. SigNoz Cloud prices span/log ingestion volume: the shared count times your assumed ingested record size, divided by 1 billion bytes per GB. The calculator applies the chosen history’s rate and a $49 monthly minimum that already includes $49 of usage. This is a planning scenario; actual vendor records and billed units can differ.
No. Current SigNoz Cloud Teams pricing includes $49 of usage in the $49 monthly minimum. The modeled trace/log bill is the greater of $49 and the ingestion charge, not $49 plus that charge. The credit is shared across signals, so metric ingestion or other unmodeled data can change the full bill. Trials, discounts, and custom contracts are excluded.
The reviewed public rates for traces and logs are $0.30/GB at 15 days, $0.40 at 30 days, $0.60 at 90 days, $0.80 at 180 days, and $1.40 at 1 year. Laritor includes 30-day recorded-event history. The calculator starts SigNoz at 30 days for comparable history and lets you choose another period. Metrics have separate retention and sample pricing. Increasing history later does not restore expired data.
No. It estimates paid SigNoz Cloud span/log ingestion at the selected retention. Metrics are billed by samples, not by multiplying span/log records, and draw from the same minimum usage allowance. Current starting metric pricing is $0.10 per million samples at 1-month history. Community infrastructure, backups, upgrades, Collector operation, extra network costs, taxes, negotiated terms, and Enterprise contracts need separate estimates.
Laritor shows Ask for a quote strictly above $500 per month; exactly $500 remains numeric. SigNoz shows Ask SigNoz for a quote above 100,000 GB of modeled monthly span/log ingestion, the reviewed public calculator’s range. That is a verification boundary for this estimate, not a claimed ingestion cap. SigNoz’s volume discounts and Enterprise terms require confirmed pricing.
Yes. SigNoz offers a Community self-hosted platform. Its current repository license applies MIT to core content and separate terms to enterprise directories. Self-hosting requires infrastructure, storage, capacity planning, backups, upgrades, and operations. It is not cost-free just because the Community software has no Cloud subscription. This page’s calculator models paid Cloud, not a self-hosted running budget.
Yes. SigNoz has unlimited custom dashboards, 60+ broader templates, panel exports, and host/Kubernetes views. Laritor has unlimited dashboards with 85+ ready-made Laravel widgets and optional server CPU, memory, and disk collection. These are shared categories; Laritor’s distinction is its Laravel application views and widget library.
Yes. Laritor offers in-app exception recommendations with supported provider integrations and hosted read-only exception MCP. SigNoz Cloud has Noz, which investigates traces, logs, metrics, and infrastructure and can create dashboards, alerts, and views. SigNoz also offers hosted Cloud MCP and locally operated self-hosted MCP with query and management tools. Use permissions that fit your workflow; these MCP capabilities are not all read-only.
Laritor provides backend Laravel session journeys, retained requests, configured session state, users, business events, and automatic Pennant insights. SigNoz can query user, tenant, or feature attributes that your instrumentation supplies. Equivalent dedicated Laravel session-state and automatic Pennant resources are not listed in the reviewed guides. Laritor session journeys are backend investigations, not browser DOM replay.
Laritor can email customizable daily and weekly performance snapshots and share PDF reports with teammates. SigNoz supports public dashboards and panel PNG/SVG/CSV exports, and Noz can generate a reliability summary on request. Equivalent built-in scheduled Laravel performance PDF delivery is not listed.
Laritor supports automatic and configurable redaction, exclusions, and optional content collection before data leaves the application. SigNoz documents OpenTelemetry Collector processing to scrub sensitive trace attributes before export. Review SDK attributes, SQL bindings, request URLs, custom metadata, and AI context for your configuration. The ability to collect a field does not mean your team should enable it.
Yes. Evaluate both in a representative app or environment, compare known exceptions and slow executions, test alerts, and measure combined instrumentation overhead and billed ingestion. Check queue worker propagation, PHP instrumentation settings, duplicate alerts, and redaction. Keep access to your existing SigNoz history while Laritor records new activity; there is no documented automatic history import.
About this comparison
Published by Laritor, independently of SigNoz. Official Cloud pricing and its current calculator, ingestion meter, PHP/Laravel setup, OpenTelemetry Laravel source, exceptions, tail sampling, privacy, dashboards, infrastructure, external API monitoring, logs, metrics, retention, Noz, MCP, and source-license documents were reviewed on . Capabilities depend on instrumentation, permissions, and edition.
“Laravel native” means primarily built for Laravel. SigNoz genuinely supports Laravel through OpenTelemetry. Its documented automatic PHP setup installs a tracing extension plus Composer packages; direct Cloud export works without a mandatory separate Collector. Collector processing is useful for privacy, filtering, and tail sampling. Laravel instrumentation includes jobs and commands. Custom spans and attributes can describe application-specific work, even when equivalent dedicated Laravel resources are not listed.
The calculator models one shared execution/event scenario, an editable ingested span/log size, and a selected SigNoz history. Actual SigNoz records need not equal Laritor billable events, especially when Laritor size increments apply. Use your measured ingestion meter and SDK coverage to improve the assumption. SigNoz uses decimal GB and a $49 minimum that already includes $49 of combined usage. The modeled bill is the greater of $49 and span/log ingestion × the selected rate; adding $49 again would overstate it.
The estimate excludes metric samples, Collector infrastructure, network charges, Community hosting, Enterprise terms, trials, taxes, and negotiated discounts. Metrics use sample-based pricing and share the minimum allowance, so the full bill can differ. Starting history is 30 days to match Laritor, rather than silently comparing SigNoz’s cheaper 15-day default. Above the reviewed public calculator’s 100,000 GB range, confirm volume pricing; that boundary is not a SigNoz ingestion limit. Laritor strictly above $500 requires a quote; exactly $500 remains numeric.
SigNoz has custom dashboards, templates, panel exports, and host metrics. Both tools support custom business context and unlimited paid team access. Noz is an in-product Cloud AI teammate; SigNoz MCP works with Cloud or self-hosted instances and includes management tools subject to permissions. Laritor MCP is read-only exception context. Community self-hosting transfers storage, scaling, backups, upgrades, and operational work to your team. The current repository licenses core under MIT and enterprise directories separately; older website pages describe a different license, so this comparison follows the repository.
