Telegram

Laritor lets you connect Telegram so alerts can be delivered directly into your Telegram groups. This is useful when your team already coordinates incidents and operational updates in Telegram.

🔧 How to Integrate Telegram

Open Settings
- Click your profile dropdown in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Select Settings from the dropdown.
Add Your Telegram Bot Token
- On the Settings page, find the Telegram section.
- Paste your Telegram bot token into the bot token field and save it.
Create a Telegram Bot
- Open Telegram and message @BotFather.
- Send /newbot.
- Follow the prompts for the bot name and username.
- BotFather will reply with an HTTP API token that looks like 123456789:AA......
Add the Bot to Your Groups
- Add the newly created bot to any Telegram groups where you want to receive alerts.
- Once the bot is in a group, Laritor can detect that group and make it available during alert configuration.

📣 Using Telegram in Alerts

Once Telegram is configured, you can choose where alerts should be sent from the Alerts page.

Configure Telegram Groups for Alerts

Go to Alerts
- Click Alerts in the main navigation menu.
Choose Your Telegram Group
- Under Alerts, select the Telegram group where you want to receive alerts.
- Groups where your bot has already been added will appear in the dropdown.
Set a Default or Environment-Specific Group
- You can choose a default Telegram group for all environments.
- You can also override the Telegram group for specific environments when needed.
Save Your Alert Configuration
- Save your alert settings after selecting the appropriate Telegram group.
- Laritor will send alerts to the default group or the environment-specific override you configured.

💡 Notes

Telegram alert destinations are discovered from groups where your configured bot has already been added.
If a group does not appear in the dropdown, confirm that the bot was added to that group successfully.
You can update or replace the Telegram bot token at any time from Settings.
