Alert routing playbook for Laravel incidents
Incident response gets noisy fast. The fastest teams remove friction by routing the right alert to the right people at the right time.
1. Separate signal from noise
Use alert rules that match severity. Failed health checks and error spikes should page on-call, while slow endpoints can go to a low-noise Slack channel for investigation.
2. Keep routing explicit
Map alert types to owners: database alerts to the data team, queue alerts to platform, and customer-impacting issues to incident response. Everyone knows what they own.
3. Automate follow-up context
Attach trace links, dashboards, and recent deployments so responders can jump straight to the timeline instead of searching for clues.
Routing that matches ownership reduces burn-out and resolves incidents faster.
